"Change is never easy, but it's always worth it."

I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. Bullied and humiliated for being fat. I let the number on the scale equate with my self-worth. Living with depression and anxiety for years. I found myself hiding from the world, never allowing myself to enjoy life and be my authentic self. I wasn't happy with myself nor my life. After graduating college in 2012, I was so stressed and unhappy that I tipped the scales at over 350 pounds. I knew then that it was time for a CHANGE. 

I started out by simply cooking my favorite fast-food and restaurant foods at home, in my apartment. I made small yet effective changes like switching from fried to grilled; diet sodas instead of regular. I would count calories and only ate between 1200 - 1800 calories a day. I worked out EVERYDAY. I was very determined. I would walk around my college campus for 2 hours in the evenings. Back then I was burning more than 1,000 calories a day. I started to see changes in my body. I lost 10 pounds, then 20, and I knew I was onto something. Results were coming, and they were coming fast. 

I love food, and I love cooking. From the ground to the plate, I love the entire process. It was my love of food mixed with emotional distress that caused me to balloon up to that weight. But it was also my love of food that caused me to try every healthy recipe that I came across. There's a big world of food out there waiting to be explored. You'll never know what you may like if you're not open to try new things.  I've read several diet books, cook books and nutrition books. I've learned the science of food; how food works for the body and how to use it in a positive way. I no longer eat to feed my feelings. I am no longer depressed nor full of anxiety. 


After successfully losing 100 pounds, I want to share my story with the world. I did this without any diet program, diet pills, diet shakes or any other gimmick that the weight loss industry makes millions on each year. I'm here to tell you that you can do it too! You don't need that surgery! Why go through a high risk operation to forcefully change how you eat? You have to renew your mind to the way you see food, the way you think about food and the way you use it. That's what I am here to teach you to do! You are not alone. I am with you every step of the way. Get your health back. Get your confidence back. GET YOUR LIFE BACK! Never let food control you ever again! Be healthy, look and feel great!
